“Roots from Gotland are simply the best!”
For the past 15 years, Fitzner has worked with most farms here in the north. But when it comes to root vegetables, there is one place that is simply the best. Namely Gotland!
The soil here is a bit like we know it from Lammefjorden - Filled with nutrients from old sea shells, however it is not as sandy but more rich and dark. The island climate provides an extra slow cultivation, with the best conditions.
This develops the sweetness, and the bitterness we know from beets and other root vegetables hardly develops here.
But not everything is about the land, skilled farmers like Ryfte's and sensible traditions are also the key to good taste and knife cabinet sorting!
